Reviews and Ratings
Our stay at the Calabash Bay villa was truly exceptional, making it perfect for our group of three couples. The picturesque views of the beach right outside our room and the outdoor shower were highlights. The hiking trip to Lover's Leap proved challenging but rewarding with breathtaking scenery. The meal on the private beach was fantastic, along with the warm hospitality from Captain Dennis and his crew. One downside was the physical intensity of the hike, which was tougher than expected.
Jake's is a unique gem that captures the essence of Jamaica with its boho chic accommodations and a warm, family-like atmosphere. The food at the restaurant is truly exceptional, although the rooms, while comfortable, aren’t luxurious, and the prices can be on the high side. Overall, it's a wonderfully relaxing escape for nature lovers and those seeking peace.
Jakes is a true gem tucked away on the stunning south coast of Jamaica. The natural surroundings are absolutely breathtaking, and I loved falling asleep to the soothing sound of the waves. The diversity of the cottages adds to its charm, and the staff here really make the experience special with their attentiveness. However, for those who may prefer a more bustling atmosphere, the location might feel a bit too secluded.
My stay at Jake's Resort was nothing short of magical. The SeaDragon cottage we rented was cozy and well-appointed, with a private pool that we loved relaxing by after our exciting outings. The staff, especially our concierge Adrian, went above and beyond to ensure we had a perfect stay. The only drawback was that the main resort was closed for renovations, which we wish we had known about earlier. Regardless, I can't wait to return for another remarkable vacation.
I had a wonderful stay at Jakes, with a cozy beach villa offering stunning views and a relaxed atmosphere. The staff was incredibly attentive and made me feel right at home. While there are some areas needing a little TLC, the charm and quirkiness of the resort made up for it. Dining was fantastic, but if you're looking for luxury finishes, this might not be the place for you.
We had a wonderful stay, enjoying the charm and rustic vibe of the hotel. The Octopussy suite was a delight, offering stunning views and a lovely outdoor shower. However, there were some downsides, such as the repetitive food options and the need for better shade on the upper deck. Overall, it was a relaxing getaway, but improvements could be made in several areas.
Staying at Jake's was a unique experience that blended rustic charm with artistic elements. The staff truly made us feel like family and were attentive throughout our stay. While I loved the outdoor shower and the beautiful surroundings, the lack of basic amenities like air conditioning and usable outdoor space during rain could use some improvement. Overall, it was a laid-back getaway, although a few upgrades would truly enhance comfort.
Our stay was an absolute paradise! The location was stunning, right by the ocean, and it felt so safe to walk around. The cottages gave us the privacy we needed; however, we did notice occasional noise from nearby properties at night. The staff were genuinely friendly and went above and beyond to help us, making us feel right at home. The dining options were fantastic, with all meals being fresh and delicious, although we wished there were a few more local spots to try. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, with a few minor disturbances.
Our stay at Jakes Pelican Villa was simply unforgettable. The staff made us feel right at home with their incredible attentiveness and hospitality. The location allowed us easy access to a beautiful beach, making our days truly relaxing. While the villa exceeded our expectations, we were a bit disappointed that the main resort was closed for renovations during our visit. Nonetheless, we found everything we needed at the villa, which was a fantastic experience overall.
